Children’s Theatre
The Children's Theatre presented two performances of the musical 'Romeo and Juliet' at John O' Gaunt Community Technical College, Priory Road, Hungerford on Saturday 7th July 2007. This was as part of HADCAF 2007. Based on the
play by William Shakespeare with new lyrics and music written by
Debbie Campbell, this musical was a wonderful way of introducing
young people to the works of Shakespeare. The music was dramatic
and varied, with fighting songs, dances and romantic solos, in
both traditional and modern styles. Two onstage choirs
represented the opposing Montague and Capulet families. |

June 2007
As David Clayton the show
Director said `This is excellent news as up until now we have to
hire most of the lighting equipment we need to stage a show.
These new lights will be a great help and we much appreciate the
generosity of First Great Western in giving them to us`.

The practical training was at Jane Corbett Millinery, Hungerford
High Street and it seems to be doing the trick! Apart from the training its great to have Jane`s help with props for the show to give things an authentic feel. |
