This was an adaptation of the classic story Beowulf - a new play by Hoffi Munt.

The performance on Saturday 29th March delighted a large audience at the John O’Gaunt Community Technology College, Priory Road, Hungerford.

  • Tickets at £3 each were available from the Box Office: Crown Needlework, 115 High Street, Hungerford .

  • Beowulf is the tale of a hero who faces three terrible monsters; first the monster Grendel who is terrifying the Danes, then Grendel's mother who seeks revenge for her son's death and finally a dragon who threatens Beowulf's own people. In this play adaptation there were great roles for boys and girls giving the cast a chance to work with puppets, dress up as a dragon and help Beowulf complete his heroic story.

Rehearsals were on Mondays , 5.30-6.30pm at the JOG Youth and Community Centre.
