2009/2010 Production Sponsor (Click Logo to visit their web site)	When CHTC was first established, there were close links to The Hungerford Theatre Club, which was the organisation through which adult dramas were performed. In 2004 The Players were created as the adult drama section within The Community of Hungerford Theatre Company and presented Spot The Lady, a burlesque of "The Scottish Play" at the HADCAF One Act Play evening. Previously, in 2003, the formative Players supported the Youth Theatre in Once A Catholic at the JoG Technology College and in 2005 The Gut Girls, together with the Youth Theatre, in the round at Hungerford Corn Exchange. 2006/7 saw the premiere performances of ANON and Gone With The Books - both written by Hoffi Munt and performed in the Hungerford Croft Hall and Corn Exchange respectively. In 2008 & 2009 we had great success with the farces Love Begins at 50 and The Love Nest, both at the Croft Hall.
	Next Production We held an interesting play reading of "Farcical Monks" on 29th March for those interested in this year’s Players’ production. This particular play is not going ahead in the near future - we are now looking for a play with more female roles and will let you know more details as soon as they are available. We hope that the next Players production will be in October/November 2010.
	Recent Productions - A Cream Cracker Under The Settee and Still Waters All week audiences joined The Community of Hungerford Theatre Company for a unique experience as we performed an evening of theatrical entertainment from within the Hungerford Arcade, noted for its Antiques & collectables. They were amazed at the transformation !! The evening featured Youth and Players productions - Three one act plays were performed *A CREAM CRACKER UNDER THE SETTEE* - a dramatic monologue by Alan Bennett STILL WATERS - by Delsie Darke Performances were nightly at 8 p.m. from 20th to 25th July 2009 as part of HADCAF
	Recent Production - The Love Nest The Players were proud to present…… The Love Nest - A Farcical Comedy in Two Acts by Raymond Hopkins. This successful show ran on 28th - 30th May, 2009 at the Croft Hall in Hungerford. The packed audiences again enjoyed laughing throughout this very funny play. This was a brilliantly written follow up to the hugely successful 2008 Players production of Love Begins at 50... another comedy by the same author, who again joined us on the Saturday night.
