  • "Julie Gower (Julie Jordan) whose strong voice effortlessly reached the high notes demanded of her, acted well and looked good ....  Outstanding for singing and acting were Helen Bonner (Nettie) and Paul Hyde (Enoch Snow) while the disciplined dancers were a continuing joy.  Among them Becky Horne (Louise), made the most of her superbly expressive solo dance - a star of the future"  NWN

From the magical evocation of the carousel in the overture to the majestic and moving strains of the immortal "You'll Never Walk Alone", this giant of the musical stage remains timeless and star bright.  The poignant story of the faithful Julie and her brutish husband Billy is one of the most powerful books of the musical theatre and perfectly matches its extraordinary score.  Famous songs include "Mister Snow", "If I Loved You", "June Is Bustin' Out All Over" and "When The Children Are Asleep".

Review

Audience response was good every night and written comments received included the following from happy customers: -

  • "May we thoroughly congratulate the company on a wonderful show.    We live in Burbage and hadn't been to any of your productions before and thought it was excellent last Saturday night.    Brilliant to see so many in the cast (of such varying ages!) and the singing voices were superb, dancing brilliant - Becky Horne rather stole the show for us ( we thought she must be professional) and one in our party won a raffle prize!
The orchestra were amazingly good as well.
In all it was a lovely evening and we look forward to seeing many more of your excellent productions.    Congratulations again.   Very best wishes   Peter and Bery Simmonds "

  • Please pass on my congrats to all cast, band & noisy crew! It went down well. All helped with the lovely tea and mars bar in the interval. ... Hope the rest of the performances go well.   P.Y.
